Perhaps you already know about (and are obsessed with) this grape variety OR maybe you’re thinking “What on earth are Cotton Candy grapes??”. In both cases we thought this would be the perfect time to give a little background on this fabulous grape.

What are cotton Candy™ grapes?

They are a green seedless variety of grape that (no joke) tastes like Cotton Candy! They were made through natural cross-breeding. This process can be very long (anywhere from six to fifteen years!) as planters will continuously try different combinations of pollen from the grape flowers until they get the taste of grape they’re looking for.

why are Cotton candy™ grapes so popular?

Probably because of their unique, sweet flavor. The sugar content and calories are slightly higher than your average grape, but still much healthier than eating something with processed sugars (like actual Cotton Candy!). It’s the perfect snack or sweet treat for kids and a smart option for those wanting something sweet but are trying to improve their health.

When did Cotton Candy™ grapes first appear?

The first Cotton Candy™ grapes were produced in California and entered the market in 2011.

Where are Cotton Candy™ grapes grown?

Pretty much wherever grapes are currently grown today. Our Cotton Candy™ grapes are grown in vineyards in Brazil, Chile and Peru. And as always all of our grapes (including Cotton Candy) are Non-GMO Project Verified.
