SUNRAYS® are primarily available in the United States, but you may find SUNRAYS® grapes in select retailers in the Canada. Contact your local store for more information.

SUNRAYS® plastic grape bags are made from polypropylene, which are recyclable. However, please check with your local waste contractor to make sure these plastics are accepted!

SUNRAYS® plastic mandarin bags are NOT recyclable. This is primarily due to the format of this package. The netting jams the recycling facility’s equipment so it’s not accepted. We are encouraging retailers to transition to our tree fiber-based, home compostable netting package.

Yes! The SUNRAYS® tree fiber netting is certified home compostable. This means you can simply place the netting in your home compost bin along with fruits and vegetables. The netting will decompose into nutrient rich dirt!

Our tree fiber netting is clearly stated on the package, if you don’t see this stated on the package the netting is plastic and cannot be placed in your home compost bin.

SUNRAYS® mandarin paper-based boxes are 100% recyclable and can be recycled curbside with your other paper waste.

SUNRAYS® grapes and mandarins are available year-round!

A clementine is just one of many varieties of a mandarin. So, while all clementines are mandarins, not all mandarins are clementines. There are two primary mandarin varieties packed by SUNRAYS® – clementine and Murcott.

Yes and no. It depends how strict of a vegan you are.

SUNRAYS® mandarins are coated with vegetable- (made from sugar cane or soy), beeswax- (made by bees), or lac-resin- (made by female lac beetles) based wax, like many fruits and vegetables you find the grocery store, to maintain freshness.

SUNRAYS® growers work very hard to minimize the number of seeds found in our mandarins but sometimes you will find them due to Mother Nature. Most citrus fruit contain seeds because flowers on the trees are pollinated by bees. We are able to significantly reduce the seed count in SUNRAYS® mandarins by keeping bees away, either by planting our mandarin groves far away from where bees live or protecting our mandarin trees with nets. However, bees will every now and then still make their way through to our mandarin orchards after visiting an orange or lemon orchard and then you find seeds in your mandarin!

The best thing you can do is choose SUNRAYS® when you go grocery shopping! The next best thing you can do is follow us on Instagram and look out for announcements about local events.
